The IEA 4E Electronic Devices and Networks Annex (EDNA) has launched its first two official tasks.
Task I is “Smart Metering and Energy Monitoring Systems” and deals with the parasitic energy use of smart metering infrastructure. The task will deliver a series of recommendations to be considered by policy makers.
Task II is “Energy Efficiency of the Internet of Things” and is a first step to tackle the widespread field of energy efficiency in IoT. It aims to enhance the market and technology knowledge and develop high-level recommendations on policies for this area.
